What is LOOK!?

LOOK! is a newly formed society at Edinburgh Napier University which aims to unite people who share an appreciation for the lens media disciplines and who are also interested in developing a deeper understanding of its context within visual culture.

LOOK! aims to foster a creative community of individuals with whom ideas and work can be shared and openly discussed, in a supportive environment.

LOOK! aspires to engage and motivate our members through organised  travel, meetings and social events connected to exhibitions, guest speakers and festivals.

LOOK! will act as a vehicle to continually inform our members of external exhibitions, events, talks, competitions and anything of interest happening throughout the year.

LOOK! will provide its members with a unique opportunity for networking outwith Napier University, and in the future we plan to give our student members the opportunity to gain industry experience and collaborate directly with professional practitioners.

LOOK! aims to build bridges between photography and film, and a range of complementary creative disciplines, including graphic design, animation, sound design, theatre, costume design and creative writing.
